Bratislav Stojiljković

- I believe that this is important project, since I am traveling to Africa for long time, and Uganda is friendly country – said Bratislav Stojiljković, trade representative of Uganda for Southeastern Europe.

– They wish to work with us, they have a lot of resources, we have our knowledge, skills and expertise that they need.

- Minister Momirović delivered an invitation from president Vučić to president of Uganda Yoweri Museveni, who will be here at the end of June – continues Stojiljković.

– He will open „Uganda Hub“ in Belgrade waterfront. It will not be just a regular coffee shop, but also a mirror of priority products like vanilla, cacao, avocados and mangos, but the most important is coffee which is the best in the world. I think it is relevant for Serbia that first hub is here, and soon London and Dubai will follow.

Mark Pursey

Mark Pursey, trade representative of Uganda for United Kingdom, notes importance of connection and collaboration between countries:

- There is a huge connection between our countries. After Brexit, Britain is reconnecting and rebuilding realtionships with long-term friends and allies, and Uganda is incredibly important part of that journey. Relationships between Britain and Uganda are obviously very long and strong. Political connections or diplomatic relations between Serbia and Uganda are newer, even though there is a long legacy with Yugoslavia in the past – says Pursey.

Odrek Rwabwogo

Odrek Rwabwogo, advisor of president of Uganda, noticed similarities between Serbia and African republic:

- Our people share two things. First is being patriotic - we love our countries. That is important personality trait that we appreciate. Other is humility and being welcoming hosts – says Rwabwogo and adds:

- Since Uganda is growing rapidly, we have 50 million people, and 70 percent are under the age of 20 – says Rwabwogo.

- We are trying to create jobs in agriculture by finding new markets and partnerships, to attract capital, cultural exchange, and work on interpersonal relationships. People from Serbia – who are everywhere in Balkans – can try our products. Goal is to raise sales up to 6 billion dollars from selling 13 products: coffee, tea, chocolatte, beef, dairy, vegetables, flowers... Markets are in need of organic products, and we have them. What we didn’t have is a connection. We are here to prepare bilateral contract between Serbia and Uganda, as well as visit from our presidents that will happen next month.
